Telescope eyepiece, 'Kellner', metal / glass, made by Carl Zeiss, Jena, Germany, 1890-1920, used at Sydney Observatory, New South Wales, Australia, 1890-1920 A brass Kellner eyepiece that can be unscrewed into four separate pieces, the aperture, a metal tube, a concave lens and the brass connector tube. The aperture screws into one end of the metal tube and the concave lens screws into the opposite end. The tube with attached lens and aperture then screws into the brass connector piece.
