Toy spinning top, tin plate / wood, made by MFZ, West Germany, 1950 Circular tin spinning top with a red wooden handle that pushes down onto a spiralled piece of metal that makes the top spin from the inside. The top is decorated with yellow, blue and orange stripes circling around the middle handle. The handle sits into a geometrically decorated dome with blue, orange and white patterns. The imagery on the top is of a young girl depicted in four different scenes with animals including a frog drinking out of a wooden mug, a teddybear, a toy horse, a dog and a yellow duck. The underside of the top is coloured in light blue.
