Tipp toy racing car

Toy racing car, boat tail racer, '16', metal, clockwork operated, made by Tipp & Co, Nuremberg, Germany, 1932-1939 The toy racing car is made of tin plate with tin printed details and tab and slot construction. Tin-printed details included exhaust extractors from the engine, a radiator and a belt across the long bonnet. The wheels are solid discs with 'Good Year Cord' tyres. A tin-printed numberplate 'XY14226' sits below the radiator. The rear tail section is of boat tail type construction. A racing car driver wearing a helmet sits hunched over the wheel of this left-hand drive vehicle. It is finished in red, green and white and has the racing number 16 on the side. -1 Toy -X Stand
