Toy car, Mercedes-Benz Type 300 Adenauer limousine, friction drive, 1:18 scale, metal, made by JNF (Johan Neuhierl Fürth), Furth, Western Germany, 1951-1962 This tin-toy model represents a full-size Mercedes-Benz Type 300 Adenauer limousine. The toy car is a 4-door sedan (the doors do not open) and the body is white-enamelled tin plate with metal radiator, headlamps, front and rear bumper bars and wheels. The car would most probably have had the famous Mercedes grille star on top of the radiator. The interior has a plastic left-hand drive steering wheel. There are also tartan tin-printed seats and a detailed dashboard including a speedometer marked up to 120 kph, push-button radio, clock and glove box. The rear wheels are friction drive and the front wheels can be manually turned to enable the car to travel in circles. The car has no window glass.
