Dress accessory, toggle, dog in basket, wood, China, c. 1700-1940 Wood, relief carved in the form of a small, shallow, splayed, woven winnoying basket containing a small resting dog. The dog's front legs extend to the side down the front of the toggle. Drilled holes through the upper back and underside of the basket form the attachment.
