  • Help the British Library tag a million images

Some of the million images the British Library have released on Flickr Commons have been added here for you to play with. The tags you add will help people find these historic images.

They have asked people to use these special tags where appropriate: 'map', 'letter'+theletter e.g. LetterA, 'architecture', 'decoration', 'landscape', 'music', 'portrait', 'fashion'. If the image needs rotating, add 'rotatec' or 'rotatecounterc'.
